Not all dwindling
is wind-done.
Tumor does it,
ticking on the trunk.
Mother does it,
ogling her son.
Anorexic Cupid,
not much wider
than a bone,
shoot yourself
before the swan drops,
before her head
is coiffed with water,
plant your quarrel
in her soul
and there be old
and minor.
